Hyi, Homoa! and Why You Want It

Hey everybody!

Desucon is upon us, starting on this Friday 8.6. and lasting till Sunday 10.6. I'll be co-hosting a workshop about performing at 21:00-00:00 on Saturday and a visual novel meet at 11:30-13:00 on Sunday with my lovely pal Mijaskal, so come see us! ; )  Also I'll be cosplaying Roxy Lalonde on Friday and Sunday, and Sollux on Saturday. AND Team Pärvelö has an artist alley table! Right next to the all new comics table that sells all manner of self-published zines from all the authors who couldn't attend themselves! (This pic got made into post cards, but the Pärvelö table will have more than that. ;3 ) There's a lot to see in other words.

But!!!

That is not all! Because the thing about this Desucon I am looking forward to the MOST is the

Hyi, Homoa! comic anthology! ("Ew, That's Gay!")

- Do you like BL/yaoi?
- Did you USE to like it, but started to find the majority of the genre somewhat silly or repetitive?
- Are you interested in keeping up with what's happening in the Finnish comic scene, especially the part of it that draws inspiration from manga and Japanese culture?
- Do you like high quality comics?

In any of those cases, Hyi, Homoa! is not a book you want to miss! 16 of the most awesome young names in the Finnish comic scene assembled to produce this sequential art anthology with humor, tragedy, and even some scientific text. Hyi, Homoa! is a fresh Finnish take on BL (or simply, guys getting together).

In other words, Hyi, Homoa! is a comic book with 104 pages that contain 17 short oneshots and a text centered around the themes "Finland" and "homosexuality". The language is Finnish and the book is for readers aged 15 and up. And here's a list of the contributing artists:
